+ inspired by: What Katie Ate
Good morning, and happy Monday!
I stumbled onto What Katie Ate via Black*Eiffel, and fell straight in love with the concept and her gorgeous images! They are just so yummy to look at - and that is before I have even tried and tasted the recipes! I think I'm happy just looking at the images, again and again...
Katie Quinn Davies, Graphic Designer turned Food Stylist and Photographer, has a great eye for detail (you can tell from her pictures) and is passionate about photography and all things culinary. Irish by origin and based currently in Sydney, Katie's work has a quality of natural rustic-ness, which I find is what gives that "extra twinkle in the eye" to each composition. This is also the perfect example of "a picture is worth a thousand words", for I can't find good enough words that would do justice to how I feel when looking at her work! All I can say is, they all look good enough to eat - literally!
Hop over to her blog for more beautiful yumminess! And once you're done admiring the images, maybe you would want to give the recipes a try too. I know I will!
Enjoy, and have a fabulous day!

More beautiful, fun and timeless decors and ornaments to get you inspired this holiday season - all from West Elm!
I love ALL of them - the nutcracker, the owl, the snow globes (snow globes!!!)... If only they ship internationally! (ps. for those in the States, West Elm is offering free shipping on selected products, to make it easier for you to update your home in time for Christmas!)
Are you enjoying these special Holiday Styles series?! Let me know what you think! And there are more inspirations coming up, so stay tuned!
Meanwhile, have a lovely weekend!

Holiday Styles 2010: Christmas Decor - West Elm {Part 1}
I've been multi-tasking over my desk for the past few hours, half browsing through blogs, half sketching on my sketchbook (yes yes, you'll get to see them reeeeeaaal soon!), half making notes on new blog topics, and totally immersed over West Elm's Christmas decor and ornaments!!!
The items are to-die-for gorgeous. They are whimsical, unique, and at the same time so easy to mix and match with the rest of the house; I can imagine some of the ornaments sitting on shelves and sideboards all year round! I love the pair of Mercury birds! Also, the styling and photography for the products are excellent too!
There are more to come - I have probably right-click and save almost all pictures of their Christmas accessories, and I'll share them with you soon.
Enjoy!!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Hello Pagies! A big Happy Thanksgiving shout out to everyone!! Sorry I'm a day late, but you know the saying, better late... Thanksgiving isn't a widely celebrated festive in Malaysia, but then again, we don't need a special day to remind us to be thankful of all that we have.
I am thankful for:
+ all of you who drops by and offer Page Thirteen the much needed support. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
+ a happy and healthy family who are wonderfully loving in their own special ways!
+ great friends whom I can share stories and laughter with, over scones, edamame beans, mojitos, coffee, hot peri-peri chicken (not all in one sitting, of course!)
+ all that I have right this moment, from the soft pillows I dream on at night, to the light I see when I wake up; the ready made breakfast, the internet connection (thou not very fast...) which allows me access to friends, inspirations, the world (!!!), the soft, cloudy but warm weather which is unique to this part of the world... and of course -
+ thank you, Ally - for the love, laughter and support; today, tomorrow, always...
I found this gorgeous image on flickr, "Apart on Thanksgiving" by photographer Tomitheos, how meaningful! And yes, I totally feel it!!
Have a beautiful day, everyone!

Holiday Styles 2010: Flats - Bejewelled, Blooms & Bows {Part 1}
But guess what, one post is not going be enough to show them all (no surprise there!). And judging from the collection I have in my archive, I just might end up doing a series for the holidays instead! Lets see what happens...
I'm loving the Lanvin's Crystal embellished suede ballerina. It would look stunning dressed up with a cocktail number, or casually paired with a pair of skinny jeans. Lovely!! What's your favourite?
More will be up soon! Enjoy these for now, and have a awesome day!

Hello Pagies! How's everyone fairing this Monday?
I've not suffered any blues for the past couple of months, thanks to the excitement and energy Page Thirteen brought me. But today, an unfortunate case of displacement coupled with very slow internet connection has managed to bring on a bout of the familiar emotions normally limited to those having to report back to their work desk.
So what should we do to conquer these unwelcome feelings? How about some inspiring work spaces? If we all have such fun and gorgeous looking work spaces to start our day at, maybe we won't ever have to dread working ever again?
Have a fab day everyone!

The Airport At Dawn...
Hi all! Sorry for the late posts today. A couple of last minute appointments came up this morning, and that took up half of my day. Plus, I'll be flying home tomorrow for my grandma's 80th birthday bash, which is happening this weekend, so there were the usual packings to be done.
I'll be home for 3 weeks or so, but the blogging will continue. I might be MIA for the next couple of days, catching up with family and relatives, but things will be back on track again by Monday.
So, let me wish you an early Happy Friday, and have a fabulous weekend!! Will miss ya... See you next week!

+ loving: Lost In Sofa, by Daisuke Motogi
This is such a fun sofa to have! I don't think I'd need a coffee or side table if I have this sofa.
Designed by Daisuke Motogi, Lost In Sofa has slots to hold items you might need while seated, from remote controls, to books, to a cup of coffee!
From the designer: "Things often get lost under the sofa. It's ordinary for a coin which slipped out of your pocket, or a never-to-be-found remote to be accidentally found in between/underneath the sofa cushions. Maybe you'll find a forgotten 10,000yen bill that you once hid there..."
Hmmm... I wonder if they have a matching footstool to go with it?

I have a thing for Chloe. Ever since I caught the first whiff of her at Changi Airport, I was smitten! Took me more than 6 months to got myself a bottle, found it at Macau's Venetian.
Jenny of Aubrey Road posted a blog about some old Chloe ads, which reminded me of the ones I've collected as my desktop wallpaper. There's a layer of dreaminess to the ads, which I find unique; the girls always look like they are in a world of their own.
Thought I'll share them with you. Enjoy!

He's done it again; Ally put color into my head again.
This time, it's Orange! Obviously, we are not out of our Gray-White zone yet, and adding the splash of Orange just tops the funkiness, don't you think?
Enjoy! And Happy Wednesday!

+ inspired by: YUKIAT's DIY Lamp
Over the weekend, I was lazily browsing through Facebook when I stumbled upon my friend/ ex-colleague YUKIAT's photo album, featuring his new upcycled DIY lamp.
Not only was the ensemble totally impressive, the photos he took of the new lamp in his room were absolutely awesome too! What's more, all parts were picked up from the As Is corner at Ikea, and he used cable ties to put everything together! Genius! The total cost came up to RM32 (which is about $10 AUD/ USD).
The lamp functions as a floor lamp, or if you prefer, can also be secured to the wall as a wall lamp.
I love the raw simplicity of it, don't you? Well done, YUKIAT!

Tree House Dream Come True
I have always wanted a tree house when I was a kid. I have a very very vague memory of a low tree and some cardboards in the backyard of my grandparent's old place. But it was such a long time ago, and I was probably only about 3 or 4 years old, I'm not sure if it really happened, or if I imagined it!
Now, here are some very real, very liveable tree houses, suspended above the ground among pine trees. Located in Harads, Sweden, the Treehotel is a project of ecological values and about living in harmony with nature.
The first generation, as the hotel calls it, consists of 6 individually themed rooms: Mirror Cube, The Cabin, The Birdsnest, The UFO, A Room with a View and The Blue Cone, designed and created by 6 different architects. The hotel also houses a sauna, and a relaxing area for 12.
It would be a dream come true to go to sleep and wake up in one of these rooms!!
"What we are offering is a new experience living close to nature in a place of great natural beauty, where joyful childhood memories can be relieved with added comfort and sophistication." - Treehotel (read more here).
ps. It's all about design and architecture this Monday morning! I hope it'll help you get a good kick start to the brand new week!

Emma at emmas designblogg did a couple of posts featuring white interiors, which got me really inspired, so I decided to pay my own homage to White!
Is White a color? Is White just there, like a piece of paper, a background, neutral, almost invisible? Or is it clinical and cold? Raw? A base coat? Does white means creamy, beige, milky?
In today's interior, white could be all that, and more. White could be on its own, and be recognised. White is no longer something you see on a cute wooden chest of drawers with antique knobs, or on lace curtains and sheets.
White is grown up, modern, minimal, classy, not cold.
White plays with textures, like white wool against glossy plastic; white plays with shapes, like a cast iron soup pot in enamel white; white plays with contrasts, teamed up with oak, colored metals, glass, prints, natural fibres.
White is fresh, ageless, versatile, comfortable and gorgeous!
