Hello dear friends!
I haven't done a piece on hotels or getaway homes for a while, and thought today might be a good time to do one, not that I'm planning on a holiday or anything. But we can do that via this blog post, go on a restful getaway with our eyes and minds - shall we?
On the island of Møn, Denmark, by the Råbylille beach some 350 m from the water’s edge, you'll find the Black+Bright house. Simple in form and classic in design, it's not quite a barn or a cottage, or maybe a bit of both, with a modern, Nordic architectural edge.
My first impression when seeing the images was how beautifully peaceful and serene the whole place is! Imagine sitting on the deck looking out into the meadows at sunset, or waking up to the smell of the sea in the distance - sigh - such bliss! A calming and rejuvenating holiday is definitely a guarantee here!
I'm also loving the clever use of contrasting dark and light timber lining the entire span of roof and facade. It is subtle, but definitely a design focal point. Inside, warm timber and light, bright accents of colors stretches across the spacious rooms tastefully styled with Scandinavian designer furniture and well-thought facilities.
The house was awarded the architectural price of the region of Vordingborg in 2010, and absolutely lives up to its reputation!
Black+Bright has 3 bedrooms plus a sleeping loft and 2 bathrooms, can accommodate up to 8 people, and is available for rental for about 650 to 1450 Euros a week depending on the season. If you're so lucky to be planning for a holiday in the region, this is one place to consider!
Hope you've enjoyed this little 'getaway trip'! Have a beautiful day, and thank you for dropping by! x. Shu
